Rules for the Acoustic Nights Series

Here is some basic information for those artists who want to be included in one of the Acoustic Nights events. It may be updated from time to time, so please return to this page for future reference.

Acoustic Nights Montreal is a bi-monthly series of shows hosted by Melina Soochan, performed in an intimate setting, and all acoustic. Styles and genres range from rock, to R&B, to soul, to pop, to folk, the more diverse the better. The venue changes every time.

Typical acts are soloists or small groups, and all acoustic. Each act is 25-30 minutes long, mostly or all original material. Applicants must have a website or myspace, a history of live performances, and a recorded cd of at least 4 original songs.

The rules are: no drums, no tracks, no distorted guitar. Some percussion is OK.
