Melina
Soochan is a soulful and sophisticated singer-songwriter, pianist and jazz
musician, whose style is a distinctive yet unique blend of pop, indie, jazz
and blues. Having appeared at renown venues such as the famous House of Jazz,
Upstairs Jazz bar & Grill, and the Casino of Montreal, she is a regular
on the Montreal scene. A fiery performer, her first love is the stage, whether
alone or with her jazz-rock band. She has released 2 albums and 3 music videos,
one which is currently on rotation on TV. Melina is also an avid entrepreneur,
having founded Acoustic Nights Montreal, the series and the teen songwriting
competition. Melina holds a BMus from McGill University and believes in supporting
local music and art.
